About

Peter Zieve graduated from MIT in 1976 with a degree in electrical engineering and became a research assistant professor at the University of Washington from 1986 until 1988. In 1986, he established the aerospace tooling and automation company Electroimpact, Inc. based in Mukilteo, Washington. The company has a wide range of products that include complete automation assembly systems for commercial aircraft wings, riveting machines, and tools for wing panel and fuselage assembly, advanced fiber placement machines, robotic assembly systems, and spacecraft handling equipment. Peter Zieve’s vision is to make the company a haven for engineers, with vertical responsibility for all work from concept to customer acceptance with minimal bureaucracy and barriers to success.

On top of leading his own company, Peter Zieve is also an inventor with 23 patents under his name. He is also a major supporter of various local causes and establishments such as the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, and Camp Solomon Schechter. To encourage students in his community, he implemented an Electroimpact Internship Program.
